Have you ever seen the world pictured from space? It’s beautiful but unrecognisable. Countries are the wrong way up, coastlines covered by cloud and it’s so so beautiful. Is that really home?
So it is with truth. We recognise truth only one way up; if it fits with our existing map of what is right and wrong. But truth is bigger than that, it’s beautiful and mysterious. To discover truth is to see as God sees.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known. 1 Cor 13:12
