Anju’s Song

Himalayan mountains

It was an absolute privilege to interview Anju for my forthcoming book, ‘Come with me to Kathmandu: 12 powerful stories of women’s courageous faith in Nepal’. She has an incredible story, full of ups and downs, and she related her story to me with a sparkle in her eye. I’m tempted to tell you how she made her fortune at the age of 17, but you’ll have to buy the book to find out! Authentic Media will release it to mark International Women’s Day in 2023.

When Anju’s third child was just eleven days old, she awoke to find herself paralysed. Her family tried everything to heal her, including western medicine and cow urine, as recommended by the local shaman. Nothing worked until she went to church and Jesus healed her.

This is Anju’s praise song to thank God for her healing. Enjoy!

I’m sharing pictures and videos to add colour to the stories in the book. You can find them on these platforms; please follow me on whichever of them you prefer:

Just as we are each a work in progress, so too is DislocatedChristians. Sometimes I’ll get things wrong, and I hope you’ll forgive me and continue to stick around when that happens.
