All the following achieved by just 4 million Muslims out of the 66 million population:
Over 3,000 Muslim Mosques
Over 130 Muslim Sharia Courts
Over 50 Muslim Sharia Councils
Muslims Only No-Go Areas Across The UK
Muslim Women…78% don’t work and are on FREE benefits/housing
Muslim Men…63% don’t work and are on FREE benefits/housing
Muslim Families…6-8 children planning to go on FREE benefits/housing and now all UK schools are ONLY serving HALAL meat.
And we (the USA and Canada) can’t decide on an immigration policy?”

My response today:

Dear ****,

I’m sorry that I need to write this, but the way this is presented and summarised is fake news and spreads fear and hate of Muslims. Words such as ‘war’, ‘invasion’ and ‘insidiousness’ are not neutral and though many of the facts are accurate, to list them like this is unfair to Muslims.

For example, the claim that there are no go areas for non-Muslims is not true and has been refuted publicly in many places.

One of the things that makes me saddest about living in the US is the culture of fear and hatred that seems so acceptable here, it is not just aimed at Muslims, but at many categories of people; I pray that people here would love each other more. Britain is for the most part a much kinder society and I wish I could take you there to experience the difference, it is hard to put into words and I love our diversity.

I have many friends in the UK and US who are Muslims and they are good people who work hard and do their very best to raise their families. I believe Muslims are made in the image of God and though I may view them as lost, I love them regardless of our religious differences and pray they would come to know our saviour. They are not at war with me or Britain and just because some extremists have done dreadful things, that does not represent the majority of Muslims. In much the same way that James Alex Fields Jr (the man who drove his car into crowds in Virginia) does not represent me or all the white Christians I know.

You’re not the first American to assume that we think the same way as you do, and I’m sure you won’t be the last.
