Sometimes there are areas of our lives that seem to be dead, all the life and newness that was once there has gone. It no longer feels fresh nor refreshing.
As we look upon this part of our life we can see that life was once there – like tree rings, there is a reminder of past growth, a history of God with us and using us.
Could it be that God has chosen to end the life of what was once so fresh and new so that he can fashion something useful?
Like making a chair from a tree.
There is still hope and purpose.
Yet, how can we be certain that what he has made from our lives is used for good and not harm?
A chair not a cross. A beam not a stumbling block.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
