If you were injured and needed blood, whose blood would you choose? Listening to a Nepali pastor preach this week, I discovered that in Nepal, Christian blood is the most popular.
This pastor recounted the reason that he became a Christian in 2000. He was intrigued because, at blood banks, Christian blood was renowned for being the best. Nepali Christians are known for not drinking, smoking, or having STDs, so their blood was considered superior. Anyone wanting the best chance of being cured would choose blood donated by Christians.
What a picture! As Christians, we are set free and washed clean by the blood of Christ, and now our blood is healing many others in Nepal.
Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free!Ephesians 1:7
He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.Colossians 1:18-20
All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.Genesis 12:3
